>>1732736Fisksätra - Commieblock suburb in eastern Stockholm
Grew up here part of my childhood. Born and raised in one of these blocks. Gotta appreciate how walkable and bikeable the entire satellite district was. Was incredibly soulful from mid spring to early autumn.
My friends and I used to bike to the sports field which is located right next to the marina at the sound. The basketball and tennis court the had this soft sandpaper like pavement, super vibe ngl. It would crack up like crazy during the summer heat. We'd take the basketball and skateboards and ball around and do ollies.
Too bad the fucking municipality repurposed the basketball- and tennis court into a soulless plastic-textured outdoor gym.
During the winter the only good thing was New Years eve, you'd have all the MENA and Eastern Yugobros who would spend tons of money on stockpiling illegal fireworks and lighting up one hell of a firework show, even the rich ethno-Swedish kids from the more wealthier single-family suburbs would come to the commieblock during new year's eve only to experience the show.
Crime rate was pretty high though and I know numerous seniors who'd work with troubled youths only to later hear on the news that they themselves without notice withdrew from their daily activities and left the country for Syria, at least one of them died in combat, roughly all of them were of MENA background. One of the deceased went to my school, he may had been lazy but he was never problematic like like randomly incitung violence as most other MENA students would normally do. In 2015 his picture and name showed up on the front page of the national tabloid newspaper where he had been reported to have in died in combat fighting for Daesh in Syria. Other than that the area is filled with drug problems nowadays and other gang-related violence with connections to the wider regional gang problems in Sweden.
