But what I suggested wouldn´t be as extreme as a u2, since it´s particular problem is that at fl700 they are flying very near the "coffin corner" - going slower means they stall due to excessive aoa, and going faster makes them stall due exceeding their critical mach speed . Which shouldn´t happen unless your plane can reach mach 0.7 / 400 knots or beyond.
