Tho it's interesting what you say about the STCW stuff...I'm going to save your comment for future reference. Some of this shit really can be opaque... Hard to know *for sure* what's possible or not vis-à-vis licensing until you start muddying through it. At least tugs are pretty cool. There's something to be said for being part of a small crew. More freedom that way.
