>>1520474They're brand new EMD Class 66 locos, designed for the UK, used all over Europe and the Middle East, but built in Canada. In that pic they're being hauled from the factory in Ontario to the coast so they can be shipped out to their final destination, in this case I think they're headed to Egypt. (Hence the big A/C units on top, which wouldn't fit the UK loading gauge.)
The remarkably ugly GE Class 70 is also built in North America for the UK market and I've seen a photo of those being hauled across the US on top of flatcars, but I can't seem to find it again.
