Theres a method that is useful to some people (it worked for me), take the lower bars and look at the wheel's hub, if your stem/reach is correct, you shouldn't be able to see the hub because it's blocked by the bars. If you see the hub above the bars, you need a longer stem, and if you see the hub below the bar, you need a shorter
stem.It usually works, but it's not exact because not every person has the same body proportions/flexibility.
