>>1162397>Surely you agree that even the most experienced pilots will make mistakes? Flight protections will not only stop the aircraft from doing something dangerous, but will also reject numbers put into the FMGC or MCDU which don't add up.Agreed but everything has to have override function. Rumor is that new boeings like the 777 can be remote controlled just like Airbus craft so idk. Maybe the planes require some trivial tampering on the ground but if you look at wikileaks and their tweets they said something about remote control airliners a while back and in 9-11 the aircraft were most likely depressurized to cause hypoxia in the passengers and it's not clear whether or not they were remote controlled.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betty_Ong#Phone_call>Betty Ong: [I'm] Number 3 in the back. The cockpit's not answering. Somebody's stabbed in business class and—I think there's mace—that we can't breathe. I don't know, I think we're getting hijacked.>I think there's mace—that we can't breathe. I don't know, I think we're getting hijacked.>we can't breathe. Sounds like hypoxia and if you listen to the call she sounds disoriented which also points to hypoxia.

Also hypoxia demonstration:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUfF2MTnqAwThe thing I am just really anal about is that the pilot always needs to have the last authority over any situation on an aircraft. Of course there should be protections but at some point idiot proofing actual may increase the likely hood of a mistake.. airbus control laws are an example and there was at least 2 times where they lead to a pilot not being able to pull up in an emergency. The airshow a320 crash is the most well know and then there is at least one other but i cant remember it but I know there is one more.
