Fucking how did the pilot not at least try to avoid the missile!? He didn't notice the missile lock and the loud flashing red lights and alarms!? Remember at the beginning of top gun, the Russians had that pilot in missile lock and that American pilot was fucking freaking out even though they weren't gonna fire at him. There is no way a pilot can not see that missile lock and then knowing they have incoming. No Fucking way! The pilot should have timed it to a sharp bank while dropping altitude, or at least perform some jinking!
Do pilots just need more evasive maneuvers training? I mean like in college how you have like those generic GED classes you have to take, is that all they get is like one class on plane defense? Or do they need like a more advanced ECM suite and maybe rear chaff launcher to help? Like wasn't it like 10 years ago where that Israeli 757 dodged not just 1, but 2 missiles!
I just don't understand how we keep letting passenger planes get blowned up by missiles. Missiles is old tech! There should be a defense by now! What about launching flares! Did you never watch the movie Congo!? And they were at low flight and they were able to ward off a LOT of missiles by shooting flares at the heat seeking missiles and making them go for them!
And of course once again we will here the nits excuse why planes can't have parachutes for all passengers. Boats have to have Fucking lifeboats for all passengers by international laws! Why not planes!? A couple of people might have been quick enough to jump in time with self opening parachutes but and might have been able to survive if just given a chance!
