>>1242085Craigslist isn't really a thing in my country, but I appreciate the offer.
Problem with a rigid MTB is that I have nowhere to keep it indoors, I live in an apartment.
Keeping it in the house means it would take up a lot of space and bring in a lot of dirt, on the balcony means half the balcony is taken up by my bike and it would quickly rust, and the only option left is to maybe hook it up to the rails in the stairs, assuming the building committee wouldn't mind.
And of course I couldn't bring it on the train, which kind of sucks, since I was toying with the idea of using it instead of a car, I rarely carry anything more than a few things in a small backpack and most places I've been to last year were perfectly reachable with a hypothetical train+bike combo.
also, when I'll go to uni I will live pretty close by, so a bike might be more practical than a car. (half an hour on foot at most)
Would finding a 24" wheeled folding bike not save me in terms of off road?
I suspect I might be able to get away with a 24" on a train if I fold it (I'll have to call and ask) and all I really want it the kind of dirt trails you'd see near farms with tarmac pretty close by.
something along the lines of pic related.
