>>1602133>>low drivetrain efficiencyShimano hubs generally use a 2-stage gearing system, this basically halves the efficiency of a single stage gear hub(think ye olde sachs super7 or Pentasport).
It's not a problem of the system itself, it's the shitty supply thats only rohloff(too expensive for most), Shimano( shit efficiency, hubs made for ease of manufacturing) and SA/Sunrace(pretty interesing hubs, variable quality, shit distribution)
>>heavyIt's heavier depending on what setups you're comparing
>>needs to be built into the wheel so you get shitty casual prebuilt wheels and it's more of a hassle to upgradeGet a wheel laced nigga lmao just do the spokes and rim rotflmao. Too poor for a DT swiss rim and TB spokes?
>>on normiecore scandinavian bikes they're usually paired with a coaster brake which is pure cancerI do agree that coaster brake+IGH is usually a bad idea, but scandi bikes are bretty interesting really
>>you have to disconnect the gear cable to remove the rear wheel and then tension the chain and align the wheel like a fixie and adjust the gear cableOh no I literally have to either
1)unscrew 1 fucking allen 5 mm[or 10mmhexbolt)
2)unscrew an indicator spindle by hand
3)pull a bit on an outer cable and remove it from the cassette joint
Wow such fucking hard, much diffcult, old meme
