Couldn't help but notice the Kusttram's BN trams having a great deal of similarity to Melbourne's B-class trams. Destination Waterfront City (Melbourne tram book) makes a reference that Transport Minister apparently had seen low-floor sections 'overseas', and the BN trams later had low floor sections added, meanwhile low floor sections were prototyped for the B-class trams in Melbourne, but never implemented. Could Jim Kennan have visited Belgium on his trip(s)? I can't find anything in Trove - they don't have any Victorian papers from '89.
