Mountain bike drop bar conversions are trickle because MTB top timesy are longer than road. Usually people size down on the MTB frame, so it will fit a standard ~100mm stem and road bars. It doesn't always look pretty
The other issue is that MTB bottom brackets are higher, and chain stays are longer. You'll be riding higher off the ground and the handling won't be as quick (on average, exceptions exist)
