Prior to that meme, the way it worked is if illegals were caught committing a crime and got tossed in jail, the police would immediately notify immigration who would then get the prisoner and toss him out. Dems were happy because we were focusing on the "real criminals" and we could leave the rest alone because they were a low priority. But noooo that was too convenient. Blue states ordered their police to no longer cooperate with ICE, so now they have to go into these places in California, Minnesota, etc. and dig them out - and if they find someone who has been here illegally for say 10 years working a job without any real problem, guess what? They have to deport that person now. Congratulations! Ya played ya selves.
That's just one issue. We can also talk about Biden's U.S. Citizenship Act, Obama's DACA executive order, etc.
All of this could be solved right now if you would copy the same immigration laws that Japan, Poland, etc. have.
