The pop hype for this as a horror movie overshadowed how kino it was for an /out/ movie.

I love the fact that this movie will never be good again, but was stunningly effective when it came out. I saw it in the theater. I didn't really find it all that scary but man I ate that shit up, so unique and well executed and harrowing

Underrated movie.
They got the set up, the environment, the action, and the characters down, they just needed a little more climactic setups and a more memorable score and this could have been a masterpiece alongside Die Hard.

Thought it was still alright as an adult, but a little hammier than I remembered.

The Edge, with Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin's the one that went hard as a kid, but rewatching as an adult was so hammy and over the top.

I think it was the Ghost ship-episode where he stuck a hollow metal tube into wet soil to extract water. Always loved that trick.
