>>2876886It's not that I don't think swamps can be nice, but that's all Louisiana has. A "southwest wasteland" state is guaranteed to have a variety of different terrains. Nevada is probably the most "wasteland ish" state in the west and it still has proper alpine areas like the Ruby Mountains, Lake Tahoe, and tons of other small ranges, tons of amazing rock formation areas like Valley of Fire, canyons, volcanic features, caves, salt flats, sand dunes etc. And at least states like the Carolinas, Florida, Texas have swampland but also bit of variety. Florida has reefs, natural springs, and the unique everglades grassland. The Carolinas, Georgia, even Alabama, reach into the Appalachians, Texas has canyons and mountains. They all have much better beaches too. Mississippi and Louisiana have fuck all besides swamps really. >but swamps can be different, fine, still a swamp, every little mountain range is different also. Other states also suffer from lack of variety, like a Kansas, I'm sure it has some nice prairie but that's pretty much it, or Wisconsin with lakes. Louisiana doesn't even have caves, that's crazy, pretty much everywhere has caves. A coastal state with barely any decent beaches also. Anyway fuck Louisiana
