Washington is the closet, then Wyoming is probably the next best. But both are still far from Alaska.
Oregon is nice, particularly the coast, but not close to Alaska. The only real mountains here are the volcanoes, the rest are just forested hills.
California definitely has beautiful places, but not like Alaska and has the obvious population problem.
Nevada is mostly a desert shithole. A couple localized areas are cool, like the Ruby mountains, but overall a shithole.
Idaho is a desert shithole in the southern half and temu BC filled with white supremacists in the panhandle.
Wyoming has a couple really nice areas, particularly the Wind Rivers, but on average is not great.
Montana is like Wyoming, the NW part of the state looks nice but is temu Canadian Rockies.
Utah is has some nice places, but it is mostly a desert and not enjoyable outside of winter. Also overcrowded with mormons.
Colorado is Colorado.
