the Iconic Pony is a great smoker, though i've actually really come to like the Shenandoah over all
the Huck Finn is a lot like the Iconic Pony, not much of a difference
the Lucky #7 is nice, but the bit tends to get wet from how thin the hole is
the General used to be my go-to, but the stem came loose on it, so i trimmed it & added some pipe mortar, but after repeated smokes the mortar gets soft, once a week is fine for it, but it would have been better to have added a wood plug to take up the space instead (though its been a while since i've smoked it, so it may have completely set for all i know)
the Missouri Pride might be my favorite out of how standardized & cheap it is, as Missouri Meerschaum's pipes honestly tend to have bad quality control & questionable design
my Iconic Pony for example, has an over drilled hole where the stem is situated, leaving a void where there actually shouldn't be one, and the way the pipes have the stems open in the bowl isn't great either, since the bottom gets filled with wet loose tobacco, plus the stem's cut edge leaves a lip in the bowl above the stem that gives way for it to be ate up over time
the Missouri Pride & Shenandoah sort of escape this issue with the simplicity they're made, especially the Shenandoah, it doesn't have a void at the bottom & the reed stem is super cleanly installed, well, at least mine is
in the end, they all smoke great, and are super easy to customize & repair
just as they say on their site, every single pipe is different, so depending on what you got, you may get a really really nice one, or a poor one
having a bunch of different types seems to be the best answer, as at least one of them will be exemplary, and show itself to be "yours"
