Dude, he might not be good for winter camping. I've got a Chihuahua/Jack Russel who fucking LOVES going camping/hiking with me...even in shit terrain, but I had to cut my winter camping trip short after a 4 hour drive to Algonquin because it was obvious she wasn't going to make it before I even got a quarter way to where I usually like to set up. She tried, & I'm sure she would have gave it her all to push through, but it was going to do her harm.
My advice would be to do a test run someplace close before you commit to a drive & full gear loadout; these little pups don't seem built for snow & cold.
