I cycle and run on the centennial trail quite a bit, and there are literally dozens and dozens of hobo tents erected on the 2 mile stretch between my house and downtown. Huge problems with drug use, white trash ppl. Total apathy towards social decay. I was driving the other day and there was a homeless guy just walking up the sidewalk swinging a baseball bat around. In addition to that, terrible roads around town, everybody is fat, everybody is poor, generally a shithole. If you want the essence of Spokane summed up, this old meme was shot by where the Looff carousel used to be.
Also the out is not as good as people think it is, it isn't terrible but unless you like walking around dusty hills that are packed with ppl you have to drive a couple of hours.
