I also remember reading from people on here who came across groups of men while backpacking in Europe at the height of the migrant crisis. There is a difference between paranoia and understanding what people do to eachother on a daily basis. Having facial hair and a stick aren't going to magically protect you like Gandalf or some shit. If you live in an area that has a legit security threat, don't stick your head in the sand and ignore it due to your "sensitive" political leanings.
Now, that doesn't mean don't go out and do stuff outdoors, but being too scared to even talk about things that can happen is pretty weak.
