Last but not least, gloves. Learn to love gloves. Have three or five pairs of the things balled up into a Ziploc in your First Aid Kit. You never know who you'll be treating, let alone the cooties that could be in their bodily fluids, so it's always a good idea to keep up universal precautions and keep yourself safe. Nitrile gloves are great for their durability and flexibility--plus the lack of latex means one less allergic reaction you have to worry about.
