I've been trying to teach my gf skiing this year, with very little luck. She quite wants to learn, but it's quite hard when she is absolutely clueless, while I was born skiing, for both of us to remain patient.
Skiing doesn't have to be very physical if you don't want it to be, is she not willing to go even once to try it out?
If you can convince her to, and take her a day it's really nice out, preferably with some powder of to the side of the groomers it should be hard to not enjoy it as long as you start her off very easy?

Went on a really nice backcountry trip this weekend, roughly 35kms over 2 days, through a moderate gale with some rain and sleet mixed in. I thought I was quite fit, but I cannot remember the last time I was this exhausted. Today it hurts just to get out of bed.
