Even if I was that good I doubt I could eradicate in an entire population. As for it having long term consequences I know there will be more beaver back in there by next fall. I have no desire to remove all of them. I would like to get a few every year. The section of land is connected to a large river so new beavers will end up moving in. I also mentioned earlier he's trying to keep the duck land confined to 40 Acres. Beavers aren't trapped in that area. I've seen photos from 10+ years ago and where I've been trapping wasn't flooded near to the extent it is now. Beavers constantly want to flood more and more. They are responsible for altering the environment more than any other animal (other than humans). Not only do they flood but they also cut down trees.
