I have a large tree (pic on left is what I am referring to in this post) in my backyard. I want to create two anchor points (closed loops to attach ropes or clips to) on a limb without driving long screws through it. I don't want to drill or nail anything in to it, actually.
I tried lashing a board to the limb so that I could drill in to the board, but I couldn't get my lashing/rope tight enough. I thought I was good with rope but it turns out I can't lash for shit when it comes to big items.
So is there a better method to attach a board (on a limb going up at an angle) or should I just say "screw it" and screw it?
