>>252308>What makes you guys still want to smoke? I got started at a pretty young age. Well I'm only 18 now, but I started in like 8th grade because it was "cool" with my cousin and a few friends and then it progressed to be more and more. It was easy to not smoke much when I was younger too (I've gone to private school my whole life, or at least up until after 12th grade) so I wasn't around smoking much and I'd go months without touching a cigarette (oh wow, that must have sounded pretentious. But seriously, white suburban kids going to private school are pretty sheltered and lets just say that when I was a freshman in highschool, I didn't even think people really smoked at all anymore). However, going to a public school for uni and when I got a job over the summer before my first semester at college, that started to change. I started being around people that smoked, and not only that but now it was socially acceptable. I just finished my first semester of college and I smoke a fair bit (maybe 2 packs a week, but I tend to smoke less when it's warm outside for some reason). As for the physical activities and stuff, I don't know. I mean I smoke and I run with my roommate everyday at school, snowboard (it's pretty nice smoking on the lift up), and we mountain bike so the toll hasn't really "kicked in" yet I suppose. I figure I'll have to quit smoking after college when I'm actually out in the real world with a big boy job.
