Will start this off brief but will probably go on for a lot longer just describing details and shit.
>15-16 idk
>Wisconsin, the mountainous area, (not mountains but hills, bluffs)
>steep enough if u fell you’d break ur neck or some shit. >All sandstone.
>going backpacking around some reserve & through properties
>clarified with the landowners beforehand
>10 of us roughly
>every person brings massive pack-
> different people are assigned to bring shit so we’re not all eating hot dogs for a week in the woods.
>end up having a nice assortment of food and toiletries.
>my boots are kinda airy though. Who cares.
>it’s may.
>we plan for non stop trekking from dawn till sunset each day.
>first night we get a crazy thunderstorm that nearly floods the river valley were in. We’re drenched. We’re all pissed.
>people are up at 4AM
>I’m trying to start a fire but fail
>1 of the 4 girls (all tomboys) makes a fire
>start slowly drying our drenched socks and shirts.
> we’re on a schedule and we have to trek some 10 miles to our next zone
>through bluffs and rivers canyons and shit
>socks aren’t fully dry
>it doesn’t bother at first but the rain the night before completely soaked the ground and the grass was waist-chest high in some places. Water was getting everywhere. The insides of my boots were getting moist and wet. They were tight on my feet though.
>we come to the #2
camp site at about 7-8 so it’s sundown. We all take off our boots and everyone has the same problem.
>like when your hand is dipped in water for too long it gets wrinkly?
>everyone’s feet looked like brains on legs. Just pruned. >My feet felt raw and spongey with the pruned texture of basking in soaked rainy boot sweat for hours a day.
>roasted our sponge feet over the fire for hours.
>each day was like this >drizzly thunderstorm conditions in the evening >foggy dewy weather in the morning.
Any fantasies I had of foot fetish vanished.
Now know what a good hike feels like on the feet though.
