Treating out-groupers the same way as in-groupers does not make you a good person: it doesn't make you fair, just, correct, virtuous, noble, wise, or any other feel-good-about-yourself crap. You're not a "beautiful loser" either sacrificing what's yours for a higher principle. You're simply someone who's being taken advantage of (at the expense of your in-group) because at best you're too stupid to realize it or too cowards to admit it and at worst you found a way to profit from the chaos.
