>>1218799For me, it all started because I wanted to go for a long drive. I decided to head south down highway 1. Drove about 4 hours, but I found that it was closed somewhere around Gorda. Going back, I just got tired of sitting, and pulled off in some kind of redwood forrest. I decided to walk off the road a bit and find a place to piss, and found this trail that seems to be somewhat traveled.
Ended up walking around there for a few hours before heading back I had my phone tracking my path so I didn't really worry about getting lost.
I later learned this was called hiking, and the forrest was called big sur or something. I'd recommend doing something like this OP, just go out somewhere and don't ignore the call of adventure.
