I really want to work in wildland firefighting but I've been told I can't get a red card without some college which isn't feasible for me right now. So I want to know what can i do right now with no real qualifications. Could I work at a national park or do some entry level wilderness management stuff? Could I get a red card through some kind of apprenticeship? It can't be unpaid, I have bills to cover unfortunately. Any first hand advice would be awesome, I really want to do this but have no idea where to start.
