>>2330633>>2330633results are bulging disc + arthritic degeneration across my entire back. my issue is my upper back so straps are basically a no go, i do have some ideas to still use them though. on a good pack though all the straps really do is keep the load from twisting back. there are two solutions, find a way to emulate this without using straps or balance the load by shifting weight closer to your center of gravity. in that regard a chest rig is a great idea. i think ill add some front storage to the next iteration as well as making the back area taller so that i can shift the load closer to my back instead of sticking out so far.
