Whitetop Mountain had about 2 feet of fresh snow, 40 mph gusts and whiteout conditions. I had one bad instance of losing the trail for about a half hour, trees were covered by wind-blown snow, almost impossible to see. That was a 12 mile day that took about 8 hours to clear, was an energy-draining day.
