My kid (orange shirt) and my neighbor's kid (mostly MIA dad, definitely not an /out/ guy) at the top of the trail to the balanced rock at BBNP summer 2013. Neighbor didn't have a hat that wasn't a baseball cap, so I got them those junior ranger bucket hats at the ranger station when I got our permits. It was his first trip to mountains or desert and my kid's first desert trip in a year. Good times. Would've hiked more, but kids can only take so much.
