>>1032968Yeah OP I've done my share of coll weather and wintering in a hammock and I have to say, you just won't sleep a wink if you don't have an underquilt or an insulating pad. I personally use an underquilt because it's most appopriate for a hammy and won't pose an comfort issues. Plus once you settle into the hammock it cocoons around you and even in winter well below freezing i'm able to sleep without a top layer because it's so warm.
So yyyyyeah brah, I recommend an underquilt. You won't make it without proper insulation under you.
