If you’re just plodding along in 3” of snow that a few hundred other people already packed down, you probably don’t need anything more than regular hiking boots. If you’re using snowshoes or booting it through a foot of snow, then you need something more waterproof. If your feet are wet at the end of the day from water or snow melting on top, you’d do yourself a favor to get a pair of winter boots. I use pic related and couldn’t be happier
