Today I used it to chop some banana trees down and then butcher a wallaby. Not sure what chemical reaction happened but the blade has tarnished and blackened considerably.
Now, can I remove the tarnish without ruining the patina? Also thoughts on how to prevent this? Maybe oiling before use.
