>>517939>Lemon balmSpeaking of it, there's some growing wild in my vicinity and I sometimes pluck some to make tea (yeah yeah "infusion" for those of us with autism) out of it when I walk by.
Decided I could take some to grow as indoor plant (look and smell nice, but of course I don't intend to use that for daily harvest).
First experiment failed, took the top part of one and stuck in a pot with some soil and hoped it could take roots but it quickly dried out after a few days despite the soil being wet.
Some days ago I more or less accidentally ripped one out with part of the root still attached, so I put it in a glass of water this time. That one too let its leaves hang down after a few hours, but after around 2 days started to recover and even started to grow additional leaves at the top, but it doesn't seem to have grown new roots yet.
Now (around 5 days later) the question is, should I let it in the glass some more (until it gets more roots) or is it time to replant in a pot with soil (so that it can get nutrients for the new leaves it's forming)? Or let it in the glass but add some fertiliser to the water?
