in a few years i'll be retiring from
the military. allowing me about 1500$ a month until i die of military related issues.
in that, i want to move to a state that has good gun laws, wide open hunting regulations, and fairly affordable land/housing. conservative values a plus but not necessary.
i enjoy the thought of a somewhat self sufficient life style since i enjoy diy projects and self motivation.
biggest obstacle: wife has an electrical engineering degree and loves her work. she is willing to part with it but i know she likes being a wage slave.
can anyone help me think of a good place? i like wyoming/montana/nebraska areas but would like some first hand experience.
