I go with 5gal "utility jugs" and a filter funnel for most of my fuel storage/transport needs.
If you buy the standard plastic fuel jugs, do yourself a favor and buy a couple of the canadian-style spouts and throw the overly complicated shit spouts away. You'll spill less fuel, they're easier to use, and seal better.
