>>793192the baffle's a Jecklin disk. i made it myself because people who sell them are absolute crooks. the concept and research was done by Jürg Jecklin in the 70s/80s as a refined semi-binaural approach to baffled stereo (originally researched and developed by Alan Blumlein in the 1930s).
It makes spaced (AB) pairs sound much more immersive and 3-dimensional than without a baffle, but also isn't so vividly binaural as to require headphones for playback... so it's somewhere between a plain spaced pair and a binaural dummy head
