Actually the drive train is identical
Same 4L60E tranny , same bell housing same front diff
Same axles besides length
Same rear end
Many express vans even have the same v6 vortec but the AWD has the 5.3 V8

Underpowered yes but they are great in so many ways
That short wheelbase and rear engine design makes them amazing offroad
The interior wears like fucking iron , 30 year old vans still look brand new inside.
Never had any problems with my cooling or my heads and I have had several and started getting them in 2005
