On the subject of stainless steel bottles, I've started a small study of various models from different brands, among which One Green Bottle, Pura, Cheeki, Mizu or New Wave Enviro, as a search for a cheaper alternative to Klean Kanteens.
Klean Kanteens are expensive, but they also seems to be really great after all. Many other models either have some shit threading which makes the cap go loose and the bottle leak, or, and that's one big concern, they're far too thin (hence the lower price), and so much they can't even get dented, they get pierced instead. New Wave Enviro bottles have already been excluded from my study because of that, there are dozens of reports of those leaking, and I accidentally pierced one while checking it in a store.
Many manufacturers are reluctant to give information about the thickness of their bottles, but at least they're quite open about the weight... which says a lot about how thick it can be.
I'm hoping to finish that soon and post it on /out/, but as of now, it looks like Klean Kanteens pretty much deserve their price after all...
