>>268418Another hilarious post. Thanks for the laugh. Camping is not really what I'm looking for, unless I don't know what camping really is...heh
I have been reading Hawke's Survival book(the green one) and just wanted to try and learn some basic skills for surviving in different climates from it. You kow, maybe my plane goes down in tropics(hopefully lol), or train derails in Nunavut, or maybe shit hits the fan across the globe and it would really come in handy to know any type of survival skills. Anyways, I google on each topic I read from the book to learn more. In essence it's a book to get me started in acquiring knowledge with as many universal skills to survive in different climates as possible. I didn't get far yet into the book, just 146 pages. Pretty fun read, for a an oblivious /out/ newb. Unfortunately it's been very hard to find on google anything about tree shelters without tools. So far I only found a guy that used lots of rope and para cord to make a neat shelter off the ground and a kitchen table in a forked tree and another guy who used less rope...
>>268599Thanks. Every bit helps. As I've mentioned above in this post I'll probably start off easy with /out/. I'll go to a park and walk into the area with trees. As deep as I can. And just observe nature, maybe make some silly mistakes and learn from them, but at least I'll be more prepared for more "extreme" /out/ later on.
