It's that time of the year. Seeds are planted. I cheated and bought 4 kale plants and 2 Paris Island romaine lettuce heads since the winter dragged on into late April. Garlic and chives finally showed up (they showed up in early march the previous year).
Got rainbow carrots, parsnips, Bloomsdale spinach, wild rocket arugula, syrian romaince lettuce, and wild canadian garlic (not the stuff you see) planted in the cordoned-off spots. Also got some hungarian blacks chilis, poblano peppers, wild galapagos grape tomatoes, and a syrian smooth cucumber growing inside.
Anyone familiar with herb pairings? I have 4 whiskey barrels that I am planting kitchen herbs in, and I don't want to plant any of them with partners that they will disagree with.
-Barrel 1 has basil and tarragon
-Barrel 2 has rosemary and sage
-Barrel 3 has wild Canadian mint (m. Arvensis) and mojito mint
-Barrel 4 has cilantro and will eventually have one of the pepper plants
Any input is appreciated
