I liked the first couple seasons of Dual Survival. He's got some decent gear vids on his YT channel too. Overall pretty cool for a tv outdoorsman personality.

Used to watch him on jewtube before he got on Dual Survival. I tended to agree with Cody on his methods for procuring food, until I came across someone who actually had done the math on the subject.

Turns out Dave was right all along and you need to hunt/trap animals if you're going to survive.

I've watched a few videos he posted on YouTube and I've learned more from him than from my own father - and that's coming from a series of generations who had to survive off of the land. He's a great source of knowledge and his videos you can really learn stuff from. Works great for our Canadian environment.

As far as personalities for bush-craft videos he is probably the most informed and the least gay. Most bush-craft people are basically knife collectors.

His store seems to have simple quality shit. Sure some of it may be gimmicky and not practical, but its a fucking business.

I would recommend his "woodsman' Pantry" item. The tins are fucking great. I like to put lard and shit to make corn bread. You can fit a fucking SHITTON of food if you do the right foods correctly. do a tin of dried eggs. One will fit a fucking shitton of dried eggs.
