Hello /out/.
I think I may be planning on doing the 100 Miles of Wilderness in the coming months.
I haven't been backpacking in some time, and don't have my old backpack anymore.
However, I am experienced in hiking and camping.
Do you guys have an recommendations on a good pack to store my supplies for a hike of this length?

depends on your gear - how compact are your sleeping bag, tent, etc? You'll need at least 65L, even up to 80 if your stuff is bulky.
Food will be the heaviest thing you'll be carrying, 10 days is at least 7 or 8 kg. Personally I would opt for a pack with a frame rather than a fancy ultralight pack.
As for brands, you can't go wrong with an Osprey, but there are plenty of other options.
It's a good idea to try on packs in a store to check for comfort and size. Don't get sold on extra features like sleeping bag compartments, rain covers, etc. Also don't fall for the /out/ army surplus meme.

my exgf told me the way she wanted to be proposed to was to hike the entire appalachian trail, and have the ring concealed in secret the entire time, and then at the very end be surprised that I was able to keep the ring hidden the entire time
but I don't know how it's a surprise since its her idea so if we were to ever hike that trail she would obviously be expecting it

anyway she ended up going on a trip to iceland which was supposed to be for only 2 weeks but ended up going completely radio silent for 5 months
I thought she had been killed. It was a whole thing

I don't think that's the case
actually I suspect she might've been a lesbian or at least asexual and was just forcing herself to be in a normal relationship
there were signs, I'm not gonna get into it

when she finally called me after those months she apologized and said she was going through some things and realizes she didn't handle the situation appropriately

Anon if you were experienced, you would know your own hiking style, and whether you expect it would take you 5-6 days or 11-12 days.
This would also dictate the size of pack you're looking for, 45L, 60L, 75L.

I personally do not care. I’ll continue to use Arc’teryx and Osprey shit despite the fact they’re cucking for BLM.

Ok i probably shouldn't have said I'm "experienced".
I used to hike and camp a ton, but haven't in maybe 4-5 years, so I don't really remember shit.
I know for a fact though that my group is in good enough shape to do it in 7-8 days.
The question really just comes down to decent pack brands I guess.
