>>214162>What clothing should you wear to walk or bike 100+ miles?Depends on the local climate. Be prepared for night chill, snow or rain as appropriate.
>How long each day would you spend moving? How fit are you? Do you come across things you like to stop and take in? Are you moving across partly populated areas?
>Do you stop to bathe? You need to wash somehow. Bathing might not always be the best option. Also don't be a dickwad, if you can pass through some small town and sneak in a washroom clean up hobo style, you do it.
>Do you forage or stop at markets along the way?If you know what to eat in the wild (and this is tricky, lots of ways to eat something real bad), of course you should practice that skill. On the other hand, as long as you have money, don't be daft and use your options. It's not as "pure" an experience, but finding enough to eat just foraging the forest is a lot harder than people think.
> How would you get back "home?"One trip I did (I'm not OP btw) I vowed to take the road as far as I could go. I had some cash and a credit card stashed in a hidden pocket and when I finally ran out of energy and time, I took the easy route and rode a train back home.
