Hey /out/, I only lurk here and have little real outdoor skill or experience, but I'd like to know some of your favorite places and things to do in Northern California.

I'm planning a trip with a couple friends for early January so suggestions for that would be cool. I was thinking up North on the coast near Humboldt.

This picture is crappy, but the American River in the Sierras is incredible.
