>>232427>>232430Yeah, it does look like crap, and i worked there for over 3 years and had to see it day in and out. The thing is, the only think HBC has at this point in their iconic name and colour palette. Its seriously about the only thing that has any value in the entire company. Its also part of Canadian history. So even if we dont like it, or how it works with the other stuff around us, its kind of transcends that because of the rich history.
They also offer most of their things in the Scarlet pattern(which is red with a black stripe) which is a more timeless colour grouping... It isnt anywhere near as collectible. And isnt offered on their ultra-premium($500 and up) collection of things.
Its kind of sad, because at this point that colour pattern is about the only authentic thing left to HBC. Everything else about the company is in the process of getting gutted and sold off.
