for what? the same items weights about half, and titanium is strong so it can be thinner. yes cutting from 10 lbs to 3 or 4 makes a big difference over many miles.

Not in Germany. Here, they're about the same price as chinesium. Really funny when you consider how much stuff they invented, only for other brands like Trangia to start selling the same thing for double the price, and have people buy the ripoff bcs "it's expensive, so it must be good".

It's way lighter and will last forever.
You can buy one pot that lasts 30 years for 200 dollars so that's like paying 7 bucks a year to have an indestructible pot that weighs almost nothing.

I only dealt with BW surplus Esbit stuff, but yes, the Trangia cooksets did share a very distinct similarity. Although I never saw a stainless cookset made by Esbit, like the M40 the Swedes whacked out.

Just use the plastic spork you can get for free at Subway. It's lighter and more replicable and easy to get new ones whenever you go for a resupply. Plus, most of the foods you eat out there don't even require silverware. It just needs to get into your mouth. The bankers want you to think you need a middleman tool for you to eat your food so they can keep you from hiking and leaving work and also make money selling titanium sticks. You can literally use a leaf as a utensil if you really want to.

Titanium flatware without a polished head is pretty bad. It sort of sticks to your lips, likes it’s rough or has grip or something. Polished is definitely the way to go. A long handle is nice too just to keep you hand further from the heat, or clean if your eating Mountain House or similar meals.
