what do you guys do at the end of your day once camp is all set and youre done with dinner? Im talking for solo outings

I ask because I had a great time at my last backpacking trip, nice views, beautiful weather, but at the end of the day I had nothing do. I just sat in my hammock and relaxed. Wasnt a bad or anything, but I honestly just got a little lonely :(

Generally when I am done with dinner I relax let the food settle and babysit the fire with some herbal tea possibly a smoke. After that head to bed.

I usually just try to keep busy until dark, then crawl into bed with a book or write in the journal. After a few trips worth of reading nothing but the map, you learn to pack something meaty.

find a elevated place with a nice view and observe, a small quality binoculars comes in handy.

It has gotten incredibly old really fast. Apparently stoners think they might be the only ones who get stoned innawoods...

Now to contribute, I like bringing a survival book and a plant identification book. Its a little something to do when I get bored.

I don't bother fishing since the DNR in my area go apeshit about fishing with anything but a bonified rod and reel. Don't care to get a fishing license either.

I occasionally smoke a cigar, dip, have a few nips at some scotch.

Also, I like making big piles of wood to make subequent fires easier

OP I usually read or right ashlander poems or myths, in the native tongue of Daedric of course. If others are with me we might recite them to each other from memory while sipping on matze.
Or if it is not too cold we will look up and trace the signs of our ancestors in the celestial lights above, asking for their protection on the journey ahead.

Reading was a good way to pass the time on my last backpacking and cycling trips. While touring, I would pass a town with a book exchange in the general store about as often as I would finish what I was carrying. A couple times I had to shell out 25 cents for fresh material. I haven't backpacked for long enough to need more than one book.

I've thought about buying a harmonica, but I've never quite built up the motivation to do so. It's also probably a poor hobby to partake in while stealth camping.
