Op I prefer zip front due to my ao variable weather for faster layerng and venting while backpacking.

Pullovers are a hastle to layer and unlayer.

Happy with my GoLite. Sounds like a tin roof under light rain.

Ive got a zip waterproof, ive found it gets thrown on top of my softshell as soon as it rains and taken off when it stops. As venting and layering ismt really an issue i wanted to upgrade to something lighter
Do golite still exist?

Maybe, I don't follow brand that closely. I got mine frome the old REI Outlet on closeout. I would never pay GoLite retail! It was about a Benji.
